摘要
从外语到汉语的音译命名为"汉语音译"。汉语音译离不开汉字,因为汉字的参与而呈现明显特点。这些特点可以概括为译音汉字符号性、译音汉字表意性、译音步骤简略性和音译形式多样性。
The transliteration from a foreign language into Chinese is named as Chinese—oriented transliteration(COT).COT is impossible without Chinese characters.The participation of Chinese characters makes COT different from other transliterations,which can be summarized as the Chinese characters symbolized,the Chinese characters made meaningful,the process of transliterating simplified and the transliterated words formally different from each other.
