Alexander Tytler, Yah Fu, and Liu Zhongde are three eminent scholars in translation studies. They each put forward their triple translation principles, which are closely related to one another, clearly show their similarity and dissimilarity, and exert wide and profound influence. This paper is intended to help readers understand the similarities and dissimilarities of the three scholars' principles and to further prove the theoretical and practical nature of "Faithfulness, Expressiveness, and Closeness".
