摘要
在西方教育思想史上,赫尔巴特和杜威一般被看成传统教育和现代教育的代表人物,其教育思想被有意无意地对立起来。如果摒弃这种二元对立的思维方式,就会发现传统教育和现代教育并非两种截然不同的事物。从兴趣这一角度来看,赫尔巴特和杜威教育思想的共识多于分歧,他们都秉持内在兴趣观,都关注个性和广泛的兴趣,都重视学习兴趣的培养。赫尔巴特和杜威的兴趣说对我国当前教学改革具有重要的启示意义。
In the western history of educational thought,Herbart and Dewey are generally regarded as the representative of traditional education and modern education respectively.Their thoughts are interpreted by people intentionally or unintentionally as the theories against each other.However,after reading Herbart and Dewey’s original works,we are not difficult to find that traditional education and modern education are not two entirely different things.If we discard this two opposite way of thinking,we will find that from the point of view of interest,the consensus of Herbart and Dewey’s educational thoughts is more than differences.Interest theory has become a conduit for the organic connection between their educational thoughts.Their profound understanding of interest education thoughts are of great significance to our current teaching reform.The consensus of Herbart and Dewey on interest issues is mainly reflected in the following two aspects.Firstly,the interest theory of Herbart and Dewey provides important insights to our teaching reform.In the past,most of our teaching reforms were about teaching students to improve their academic achievements.We rarely considered the students’interest in learning.That is to say,we were taking the route of single line jumping in cognition,and the result was that we neglected the active mobilization and didn’t fully use the affective factors in teaching.Herbart and Dewey’s interest theory makes us realize that interest is not only the condition and means of education and teaching,but also one of the goals pursued by teaching activities.The thought of Herbart and Dewey on interest and teaching aims may prevent us from being one sided when we discuss and solve the problems of education and teaching.Secondly,the interest theories of Herbart and Dewey help us understand the relationship between interest and effort correctly.Interest is the positive emotion and powerful motivation to promote learning and education.It can make unremitting efforts to improve the courage to overc
