A Study on Incidental Vocabulary Acquisition in the Movie-Watching Context

摘要 随着多媒体技术的发展,原版英语影视视频日趋广泛地运用在英语教学中,所以在视频模式下对词汇附带习得对于学习者在英语自主学习过程中无疑有一定的促进作用。国内外尤其是国内学者主要是研究在阅读环境下的二语词汇附带习得,而在英文影视欣赏模式下的词汇附带习得的著作甚少。本文在研究了国内外二语词汇附带习得相关的理论基础上,采用观看电影后词汇即时测试和延时测试的方式,试图探究学生在不同观看任务(例如随意记笔记、回答问题和复述大意)下的二语词汇附带习得的情况。 With the rapid development of multi-media technology,original English movies have been widely applied into English teaching,thus making it impossible to facilitate learners’ incidental vocabulary acquisition in the process of their autonomous English learning.Foreign and domestic experts have mainly focus their research on incidental vocabulary acquisition of second language in the reading context,while there is not much about incidental vocabulary acquisition of second language in a movie-waching context.Based on the relevant theories at home and abroad,the article adopts the immediate test and delayed test to explore learners’ incidental vocabulary acquisition of second language when fulfilling different watching tasks such as takin notes at will,answering questions and retelling the main idea.
