摘要
藏族著名翻译家斋林·旺多先生精通藏、汉、英三种语言文字,在西藏文艺界以其小说创作和译介莎士比亚剧作广为人知。他认为翻译必须遵循忠实的原则,首先要达意,同时译者也要发挥主观能动性,对原作在翻译时进行艺术再创造。2010年旺多先生荣获"资深翻译家"荣誉称号,这是建国以来西藏自治区翻译人员第一次获得的翻译荣誉称号,标志着西藏和平解放以来党对民族文化事业的高度重视和旺多先生在翻译事业上取得的巨大成绩。
Being a master of Tibetan,Chinese and English,the translator Mr.W.Tailing is well-known for his novel writing and translating Shakespearean works into Tibetan in the literary circle.He holds the creed that translation should be done in accordance with the principle of faithfulness,meanwhile being creative when necessary.In 2010 Mr.W.Tailing has been granted the title of ＂Distinguished Senior Translator＂ by the government,which is the highest honor awarded to translators in Tibet Autonomous Region since the founding of the nation.This demonstrates the enthusiastic support of ethnic cultures from central government and the high achievement gained by Mr.W.Tailing in his translating career.
