摘要
根据巴斯奈特理论,译者应根据译语的阅读对象和原语的文化功能,在译语文化里进行功能上的等值。翻译绝不是一种纯语言的行为,它深深根植于语言所处的文化之中。翻译是文化内部与文化之间的交流,因此,在翻译中必然会产生文化等值概念的不确定性。
In Bassnett＇s view, translators should seek the prospective equivalency in culture of the target language （TL） according to readers of TL and the cultural functions of the source language （SL）. Translation is never merely a language trans/er action, and rather, it roots deeply in the culture.Translation is an intra-cultural and inter-cultural communication, and so the uncertainty in cultural equivalency must be unavoidable in translation.
