摘要
本文梳理了巴斯奈特前后矛盾的戏剧翻译观。1985年之前她受到戏剧符号学研究的影响,重新审视戏剧翻译,认为戏剧翻译的评价标准是“可表演性”。然而,1985年之后,她又推翻了自己的观点,认为戏剧翻译者应该着重研究戏剧文本中的语言和副语言成份,而不是空洞的、缺乏定义的“可表演性”。对此,作者提出了自己的几点看法。
In this paper the author explores Susan Bassnett's view on theatre translation.Before 1985 Bassnett following the research of theatre semiotics holds that performability should be a prerequisite for theatre translator.However,after 1985,she refutes her former view and puts forward that theatre translator should focus more on linguistic and paralinguistic aspects of theatre text instead of the 'loose and woolly concept' of performability.Based on the exploration,the author advances her own view on performability.
