A study on the dynamic development of Written Language by Japanese Learners

摘要 本研究结合横向语料库与纵向追踪调查,探讨日语学习者书面语的句法动态发展。首先以『日本語学習者作文コーパス』为分析样本考察不同颗粒度句法复杂度测量指标的有效性,发现与日语书面语发展水平显著相关的指标有:无误T单位数量、无误T单位总字数、复杂名词短语数量、名词前复杂修饰成分长度。然后,收集日语专业大二学生1年的作文,利用这4个有效指标追踪学习者群组及个人的句法动态发展变化,发现学习者的句法发展轨迹均呈非线性发展,不同维度间出现交互效应,且产生变异的节点不同,个体差异较大。之后对学习者进行半结构式回溯访谈,探索变异原因。最后提出相关的教学建议。 By using a cross-sectional corpus and performing a longitudinal tracking survey,this study is aimed at investigating the dynamic syntactic development of Japanese learners’written language.First,based on the linguistic data from Japanese Learner’s Written Composition Corpus,this study examines the effectiveness of different granular syntactic complexity measures.It is found that four indicators are significantly related to the development level of Japanese written language.They are the number of error-free T-units,the number of words per error-free T-unit,the number of complex noun phrases,and the length of complex modifiers before nouns.These four effective indicators are then used to track the learners’compositions of sophomores for two semesters and the dynamic development of syntactic complexity observed in learners were recorded.It was found that the development trajectory is non-linear,with interaction development between different dimensions and large individual differences.Semi-structural retrospective interviews were conducted to explore the causes.Finally,relevant teaching suggestions are put forward.
