摘要
新型城镇化作为国家重大实施战略,涉及人口变动、产业发展、保障公平等多层次多方面社会变迁,必然会对城镇居民消费产生重要影响。基于28个省级行政区的面板数据,主要从私人部门与公共部门购买力,即收入变动渠道和公共支出渠道角度分析了新型城镇化如何影响城镇居民消费。研究表明,新型城镇化既可以通过直接效应促进消费增长,也可以通过收入变动渠道、公共支出渠道等间接效应发挥对于消费的驱动作用。其中,收入变动渠道发挥的间接效应要强于直接效应,且在三类收入变动渠道中,新型城镇化主要是通过收入效应来间接促进城镇消费增长,财富效应与分配效应对于消费的影响极为有限。政府公共支出增加可以显著促进新型城镇化对于城镇居民消费的正向影响,且影响强度高于新型城镇化直接带来的消费增长。
As a major national strategy,new urbanization has an important impact on urban residents consumption as it involves changes in migration,industrial development and equality.Based on the panel data of 28 provincial administrative regions,this paper analyzes how new urbanization affects the consumption of urban residents from the perspective of the purchasing power of the private sector and the public sector,that is,the income change channel and the public expenditure channel.The research shows that new urbanization can promote consumption growth through direct effects and indirect effects.The indirect effect of the income change channel is stronger than the direct effect;among the three types of income change channels,the new urbanization indirectly promotes the growth of urban consumption through the income effect,while the wealth effect and distribution effect have little impact on consumption.The indirect effect of the public expenditure channel is significant in promoting the positive impact of new urbanization on the consumption of urban residents,and its intensity is higher than that of the direct effect.
