摘要
片名翻译的质量好坏直接影响着票房收入。片名翻译应该引人注目、凝练含蓄、通俗易懂、发人联想。译者有责任在语言维、文化维、交际维践行绿色翻译思想,利用互文资源,营造健康宜生的翻译生态环境,从而译有所为地实现片名翻译的预期功能。有意识地选用汉语国俗词语翻译片名是译者做出的适应性选择,也是译者在语言创新、交流沟通、文化融合等方面译有所为的体现。
Film title is the brand name of the film and leaves an important first impression on audience, and its translation should be eye - catching and thought - provoking. This paper, from the perspective of green translation, explores how to produce quality trans- lation by using intertextual resources to achieve sound eco - environment of film title translation and thus build a harmonious relation- ship among different texts, subjects and cultures involved in translation. It is pointed out that the application of culture - loaded terms in linguistic, cultural and communicative dimensions is an indication of translator' s adaptive transformation as well as an evaluation of his ability to do things with translation in linguistic innovation, information exchange and cross - cultural communication.
