摘要
前理解是诠释学的一个基本概念,充分认识译者的前理解及其作用,对分析翻译活动中译者的个性化翻译有重要的指导意义。我国晚清翻译家辜鸿铭在其儒经译著的注释中,开拓性地旁征博引,尤其大量援引歌德,力图在歌德观念和儒家学说之间建立联系,生动彰显出其前理解的深刻烙印。
Pre - understanding is a fundamental concept of Hermeneutics. A full comprehension of the translator＇s pre - understanding and its role in translation, has a guiding significance for the analysis of individualized translation. Ku Hungming, a translator in the late Qing Dynasty, has pioneered the way of quoting famous Western minds, espeeiaUy Goethe, in his annotation for the translation of the Confucian classics, attempting to reveal a parallel between Goethe＇s thoughts and Confucianism, which vividly reflects the deep influence of his pre - understanding.
