摘要
旅游宣传材料是国际游客认识和了解贵州旅游文化的重要途径,其英译的优劣直接影响着贵州旅游的对外形象。为了促进旅游宣传材料英语译文文化信息的有效传递,充分实现其外宣功能,通过对旅游宣传材料翻译中跨文化语境的分析,并对比贵州具有代表性的旅游地宣传材料英译本与英美国家的旅游文本,认为旅游宣传材料的英译应将整个翻译过程置于跨文化的语境之下。
The English translation of tourist publications, as one significant medium for international tourists to learn about tourism m Guizhou, exerts a direct impact on the external image of Guizhou. With the analysis of context of cross-culture and the contrastive study between the English translation of tourist publications of representative tourist destination in Guizhou and English source tourist texts, this paper proposes that the process of English translation of tourist publications should be put in the cross-cultural context in order to improve effectiveness of cultural information transmission and to fully fulfill its function of publicity.
