摘要
转喻目前已被看作是比隐喻更为基础的一种认知方式。转喻的修辞功能始终都在语言使用中扮演着重要的角色。认知科学在转喻研究中提出的许多重要理论以及很多有价值的发现对转喻的修辞研究具有很大的启发意义。从认知到修辞的再次转向,或者说是基于认知的修辞探索,必然会使传统的转喻修辞研究焕发新的生机,也会对其他辞格的研究产生深远的影响。
Metonymy has now been acknowledged as a more fundamental cognitive pattern than metaphor. As a figure of speech, metonymy plays a very important role in language expression and understanding. Some important theories on metonymy in cognitive science shed much light on the rhetorical exploration on metonymy. A shift from cognition to rhetoric, or more exactly a cognition-based rhetorical exploration, will definitely bring about much enlightenment to the traditional rhetorical study on metonymy and benefit the study of other figures of speech.
