摘要
林语堂是一位国际知名的翻译理论家和实践家,他所翻译的《红楼梦》著名诗篇《葬花吟》,切合主题、语言流畅、风格传神,充分体现了林语堂的翻译美学观,展示了林语堂高超的双语功底和优美的翻译风格。本文从语言、结构、音韵等方面对林译《葬花吟》进行评析,高度评价了林语堂优美的翻译风格。
Lin Yutang is a world famous translator.His translation of the poem Taiyu Predicting Her Own Death in A Dream of Red Mansions demonstrates his beautiful style and ability in poem translation.In his translation,Lin Yutang successfully transfers the meaning of the poem in beautiful English.The analysis of his translation in terms of structure,diction and rhyme in this paper will contribute to a good understanding of the translating style of Lin Yutang.
