摘要
2008年,中国法院判处在中国境内贩毒的英籍人阿克毛死刑。围绕此一事件,中英两国政府展开了激烈的交锋,两国媒体对此进行了截然不同的报道。本文旨在以系统功能语言学理论为框架,从语言的经验功能及其体现形式——及物性系统为视角,分析英汉媒体对"阿克毛事件"新闻报道的异同,由表及里,透过新闻语篇的表层,透视其背后的意识形态差异。
In 2008, a Chinese court sentenced to death Akmal Shaikh, a British national convicted of drug smuggling in China, over which the governments of the two countries have been involved in a vehement dispute, and the two countries＇ representative media have presented the totally different pictures in their reports of the event. Based on the framework of Systemic Functional Linguistics, this paper attempts to analyze those differences of the English and Chinese news texts of ＂Akmal Shaikh Event＂ from the angle of experiential function and its realization-transitivity system, in order tO observe the ideological differences between the two countries beneath the textual discourse of their reports.
