摘要
在1924年出版的《新著国语文法》一书中,黎锦熙先生提出了他在语法研究中遵循的一个原则:"例不十,不立法。"后来,这句话成了汉语语言研究中的名言。可是,让人感到遗憾的是,许多人在征引这句名言的时候,或多或少会有一些失真甚至讹传。通过对历史文本的考察,我们可以看到,王力先生在最初引用这句话的时候出现了一些疏漏,但是在后来的新版文本中,王力先生订正了自己的疏漏。然而,一些人在转引黎先生这句名言的时候,大多参考的是王力先生著作的老版本,似乎没有能及时注意到王力先生在新版本中已经订正了的说法,致使讹传愈广。
Professor Li Jin-xi proposed a principle in his linguistic research, that is, ＂A grammar rule cannot be set with less than ten examples. ＂ （例不十,不立法）, which has become well-known in the Chinese linguistic research. Unfortunately, this well-known statement has been quoted inaccurately by many scholars. Some even took it as Professor Wang Li＇s words. A detailed investigation on the different editions of Wang Li＇s works has pointed out that the inaccuracy was originated from Professor Wang Li. In the new edition of his work, Wang Li has corrected his error. But many scholars are still making reference to Wane Li＇s old edition.
