摘要
科技英语作为一种重要的英语文体,与非科技英语文体相比,具有长句多、被动句多、非谓语动词多、专业性等特点。因此,科技英语的翻译也有别于其他英语文体的翻译。要提高翻译质量,科技英语翻译应在遵循"准确规范"、"通顺易懂"、"简洁明晰"这三个标准的前提下运用翻译技巧如词义的引伸、增减、词类转换方法等。
Compared with other English style, English for science and technology has its own features, such as： more long sentences, more sentences in passive, more non-predicative verbs, more specialized and so on. So translation skills of English for science and technology are different from other styles. To improve its translation quality, translators should using some translation skills-meaning extension, part of speech transformation, by following the three English Translation criteria ＂accurate and standard ＂, ＂fluent and understandable,＂ ＂succinct and clear＂ .
