摘要
格赖斯指出,人们的言语交际总是互相合作的,会话双方要共同遵守一个原则——合作原则,以使自己的话语符合各自共同目的之需要。翻译是一种特殊的语言交际活动,是译文读者借助译者的译文与原文进行的"会话",译者在翻译过程中也要适当运用合作原则的基本准则,在译文中体现原作者的交际意图,以便与原作者及译文读者进行成功的交际。
As Grice stated, people＇ s talk exchanges are their cooperative efforts, and each participant is required to follow one principle to make sure that what he says furthers the purposes of the conversations, that is, the Cooperative Principle. Translating is a special conversation between the reader and the author by means of the translation. In the process of translating, the translator also needs to employ the maxims of the Cooperative Principle appropriately so as to present the purpose of the author accurately and thus contributes to the effective communication between the author and the reader.
