摘要
通过隐喻来派生词义是人类语言认知能力的重要体现。当动词通过结构隐喻、方位隐喻、实体隐喻派生新义时,词义的变化与角色题元的不同变化之间有一种对应关系。物理行为动词隐喻表示其他物理行为或各种抽象行为意义时也伴随着题元语义角色的相应变化。把物理动词隐喻词义的派生跟角色题元的相应变化结合起来进行研究,有助于深化对词汇语义同题元之间关系的认识。
Derivation of meaning from metaphor is an important linguistic manifestation of human cognitive ability. When verbs obtain derivative meanings through metaphors of structure, location and entity, their variation goes together with the change of their thematic roles. When verbs of physical actions represent through metaphor other physical or abstract events, the semantic roles of the themes will change accordingly. Examining the metaphorical meaning derivation of physical verbs and the corresponding thematic roles＇ change will deepen our understanding of the relation between lexieal meanings and themes.
