摘要
教会中学教育是中国近代教会教育的有机组成部分,它作为一种相对独立的办学类型与中国近代历史相伴随。教会中学在办学宗旨、课程、教材、教学方法及教学管理等方面形成了鲜明的特色,既带有殖民教育的宗教传播及西方文化价值观念的强行渗透,但同时也对中国传统教育向近代新式教育的转型、人才的培养以及中等教育课程结构、办学模式的探索产生了积极的作用。
The missionary high schools, a relatively independent type of education, play a significant role in the contemporary Chinese education. With special objectives, curricula, course books, teaching methodology, and management, the missionary schools have formed a bright characteristic. Accompanied by the dissemination of the colonial education, western culture and value, the missionary schools stimulate Chinese traditional education and push it towards the modern education in terms of the curricular structure and the educational patterns.
