摘要
谭载喜教授的《必须建立翻译学》一文在译界影响巨大。它引起了我国近廿年的翻译科学热 ,掀起了翻译 (学 )是科学或艺术 (论 )的争论 ,模糊了我国翻译理论研究的方向。重读该文章 ,发现它自相矛盾 。
Professor Tan Zaixi's paper The Science of Translating Must Be Established is an article which has been exercising great influence in China's translation circle. This paper caused the Craze of Science of Translating and the arguement that translating is a science or an art. Unfortunately, we found that this paper of great importance and great influence is a paper which is self-contradictory and implausible.
