摘要
该文从实用翻译角度探讨公示语汉英翻译与民族文化心理的关系。分析实地搜集的资料,揭示公示语翻译中译者的几点民族文化心理:重视和谐的人际关系、重视人与自然的和谐、爱面子、重悟性以及民族主体意识逐渐增强等。把握这几点民族文化心理将有助于指导公示语翻译实践,促进跨文化交流。
This paper explores the relationship between Chinese-English translation of public signs and national cultural psychol-ogy from the perspective of practical translation. The analysis of the collected field materials reveals several aspects of the transla-tors’national cultural psychology in the translation of public signs: emphasizing on a harmonious interpersonal relationship and the harmony between man and nature, being concerned about face-saving, attaching importance to power of understanding and the increasing national subject consciousness. The grasp of these points can be conducive to the translation practice of public signs and promote cross-cultural communication.
