摘要
近些年,国内外著名高校纷纷倡导"通识教育",都提出以经典阅读为通识教育的核心课程。该项目借鉴以上做法,以Krashen的"语言输入假设"与Swain的"语言输出假设"为理论指导,面向非英语专业学生开设英美文学阅读鉴赏课程。通过该课程提高民办高校学生英语语言运用能力和人文素质,探索民办高校通识教育的实践模式。
This paper notices the trend of“general education”in universities and colleges home and abroad, and their making“Cannon reading”as the core course of“general education”. Based on the theoretical framework of Krashen’s“The input Hypothesis”and Swain’s“The Output Hypothesis”, the author seeks to set up“British and American Literature”course in private-owned colleges in China, putting more emphasis on students’appreciation of literature and expression of reading insights, thereby to cultivate their cultural awareness and promote humanities education, which coincides with the overall purpose of“general education”.
