American universities and high schools collaborate to establish a robust and effective system supporting advanced learning for high school students.The system lays a strong foundation for the development of top talents in the USA.Universities employ diverse methods to support and motivate high school students in advanced learning,including admissions,priority registration for courses,major selection guidance,participation in research activities,acceptance of graduation credits,and so on.High schools and universities offer various opportunities and pathways for advanced learning,such as advanced placement courses,international baccalaureate programs,honor courses,community college courses,university summer sessions,university extension programs,online courses,and campus courses for undergraduate students.These educational practices align with the philosophical principles of progression in strength and help students expand their academic perspectives,enhance their learning interests,foster their exploratory curiosity,develop their innovative thinking skills,and progress toward higher levels of advanced learning.Data analysis from the University of California demonstrates the positive impact of advanced learning achievements on the development of students'core competencies,completion of university studies,and success in graduate education.
