摘要
刘慈欣科幻作品《三体》系列小说是迄今为止最为畅销的中国科幻小说,译者刘宇昆通过精彩地道的翻译使其在海外大受欢迎。基于功能对等翻译理论,采用文献分析法和比较研究法,从词汇、句法、篇章和文化四个层面对《三体》英译本进行认真的分析和解读。研究发现,译者灵活地应用了功能对等翻译理论,使译本与原文达到了动态对等,《三体》小说的艺术魅力在新的异域文化空间下得到了再生。
The Three-Body Problem series by Liu Cixin is the best-selling Chinese science fiction so far.Its excellent and authentic English translation by Liu kunyu has made it very popular overseas,which is worth studying carefully in the translation field.From the perspective of Functional Equivalence Translation Theory,this paper analyzes and interprets the English version of The Three-Body Problem from the four aspects:vocabulary,syntax,text and culture.By using the method of literature analysis and comparative research,we draw a conclusion that the translator achieved dynamic equivalence between the original text and its translation owing to his adoption of the Functional Equivalence Theory in flexible way.Therefore,the artistic charm of the original works had been regenerated in the new foreign cultural context.
