摘要
本研究旨在考察生育年龄限制感对生育意愿的影响以及社会经济地位在二者关系中的调节作用。研究1采用问卷调查,考察生育年龄限制感与生育意愿的关系;研究2和研究3分别采用线上和线下实验室实验,进一步验证生育年龄限制感与生育意愿之间的因果关系以及社会经济地位在其中的调节作用。三个研究结果一致发现:一定的生育年龄限制感会激发个体的生育意愿;社会经济地位在生育年龄限制感和生育意愿之间的调节作用显著。该研究丰富了心理学视角下生育意愿的相关文献,为我国新生育政策的出台提供了理论和实证依据。
Since the beginning of the 21st century,the fertility level of China’s reproductive age population has dropped dramatically and deviated seriously from the world replacement level,which suggests that the era of low fertility has already arrived(Wang&Liu,2019).Although the universal two-child policy has been introduced,people’s fertility intention is continuously decreasing.By the end of 2020,the total fertility rate has fallen below the warning line,and the population development has entered a critical transition period(Li,2020).Therefore,it is urgent to explore how fertility intention could be promoted.Through three studies,the present work aims to examine the influence of fertility age limitaion(i.e.,the difference between one’s actual age and the optimum reproductive age)on people’s fertility intention and the moderating role of socioeconomic status.By using a questionnaire method,Study 1 surveyed 450 individuals of reproductive age to investigate the relationship between fertility age limitaion and fertility intention.Specifically,participants were asked to report their actual age,the optimum reproductive age they think,and their fertility intention.The results revealed that individuals who were closer to their optimum reproductive age reported stronger fertility intention.In Study 2 we carried out an online experiment,recruiting 500 individuals of reproductive age of the second child as research participants.First,participants were randomly assigned to two conditions.In the experimental condition,they were asked to watch self-compiled news broadcast materials reporting that the optimum reproductive age of the second child is 40 years old.In the control condition,participants did not watch such materials.All participants then reported their actual age,subjective socioeconomic status,and fertility intention.The results of Study 2 revealed an interactional effect between fertility age limitation and subjective socioeconomic status on fertility intention,such that for those with higher socioeconomic stat
