摘要
文化学派翻译研究实际上就是翻译权力研究,但有关学者对翻译权力的阐释还不够清晰全面,仍然有不少问题值得再探讨。本文提出,全面准确地认识翻译权力需要遵循五个原则,即明确性原则、区别性原则、历史性原则、文化性原则和政治性原则,同时指出,这些原则并非截然分开,而是彼此交叉重叠,对它们的理解,需要在这五个维度中既各有侧重,同时需要将其他维度联系起来的整体性斟酌。
Culture-oriented translation studies is actually power-oriented translation studies.But translation power as a frequently-used term in this approach has been ill defined by pioneers and outstanding followers of the school in the west.On the basis of the current studies,this paper argues that the principles of clarity,differentiation,historicity,culture and politics should be followed in order to gain a thorough and accurate understanding of translation power.It must be noted,however,that an integration of one principle with the other(s)is needed as some cases in translation practice can be perceived from the perspectives of two or more principles at the same time.
