摘要
基于语料库的译者风格研究在近20年来取得了很大进展,但研究者对关键术语的界定仍未统一。本文采取“假设—验证”的方式,从史学视角对译者风格和译本风格的差异提出假设,进而以朱生豪《无事烦恼》翻译手稿以及两部刊印本为个案,通过文本对比法,从词和句两个层面对该假设进行验证。研究发现,三个版本之间存在差异,因此相关研究应该融入史学意识,考虑所选版本问题;在此情况下,翻译手稿体现出的是译者风格,而译文刊印本体现出的则应该被称为译本风格,译者风格和译本风格均属于翻译风格。
Corpus-based study on the style of the translator has made great stride in the past 20 years, but no consensus has been reached on some key terms. This article adopts the “hypothesis-testing” approach to propose the difference between the style of the translator and the style of the translated text from the historical perspective, and conducts text analysis from word and sentence levels to testify the hypothesis based on Zhu Shenghao’ s translation manuscript and two published versions of Much Ado about Nothing. It is found that differences exist among the three versions and relevant research should take the historical perspective into account and pay attention to the specific version chosen for study. Under this circumstance, translation manuscript shows the style of the translator while published texts present the style of the translated text, both of which can be coined as the style of translation.
