摘要
工程教育专业认证要求学生具备国际视野和沟通、交流能力,国际同步在线课程可有效支撑此项毕业要求,并能克服传统培养方法视野狭窄、交流单向且难以惠及全体学生等弊端。中美国际同步在线课程“火灾安全导论”通过搭建课程平台、组建中国常州大学和美国纽约州立大学课程班、选择国际热点课程主题,在面对面的在线课堂交流中实现了跨文化、跨语言、跨学科、跨教育体制的全体学生国际视野和沟通、交流能力的培养。课程实践表明:课堂交流能有效提升全体学生的国际视野,学生在完成小组任务的过程中能逐渐理解跨文化差异性和包容性;课程评价指标中“理解跨文化差异性和多样性”指标的权重最大(0.108),体现了课程培养目标的重点和学生最关注的方面;课程还提升了学生英语学习意愿和信息收集能力。
Based on the requirement of engineering education professional certification,universities and colleges have to pay attention to the education of undergraduates’international vision as well as communication ability.International synchronized online courses could meet this requirement,which solves the problems of traditional training methods such as domestic vision,not for all students and one-way communication.By building course platform,organizing international course class of Changzhou University and New York State University,and selecting international hot topics as course subjects,international synchronized online course of“introduction to fire safety”achieves the cultivation of international vision and communication ability,which overcomes the obstacles of cross-cultural,cross-linguistic,cross-disciplinary and cross-educational system communication.The practice of the international synchronized online course shows that students of both sides could effectively broaden their international vision by classroom communication,and they gradually understand cross-cultural difference and inclusiveness during the group tasks.The evaluation index weight of“understanding intercultural differences and diversity”is the highest with the index weigh of 0.108,among the 32indexes of the curriculum evaluation system based on analytic hierarchy process calculating,which shows the training objective focus by teachers and the most interesting area con-cerned by students.What’s more,the course has enhanced students’willingness in English lifelong learning as well as international information handling ability in safety related hot issues.
