摘要
2015年,托尼·莫里森出版了小说《上帝帮助孩子》。这是当时已84岁高龄的莫里森当代书写的首秀。该小说以肤色返祖隐喻重构种族歧视现场,在历史和当下之间建构起自由往返的桥梁,使得莫里森能立足当下,对所谓后种族时代特有的肤色歧视和肤色消费问题进行深入思考,从而揭示出美国后种族神话的荒谬。
God Help the Child is Toni Morrison’s first book on contemporary American life.This book reconstructs the scene of racism through the trope of skin atavism.It builds a bridge between the past and the present,enabling Morrison to meditate on such issues as colorism and black consumption in the so-called post-racial era and expose the absurdity of the post-racial myth in America.
