摘要
美国诺贝尔文学奖得主托妮·莫里森在其绝笔小说《天佑孩童》中首次立足当代,聚焦美国黑人中产阶级女性的“傀化”情感,折射出黑人、女性和白人工人阶级等多个群体的现实境遇,从多角度反映美国社会问题。美国黑人中产阶级女性的“傀化”情感是其在种族主义、性别主义和消费主义多重压迫下沦为“她者”后的情感反应。“傀化”情感既反映了美国权力运作与意识形态控制之下黑人的集体生存状态,也激发受压迫群体另辟蹊径,走出困境。莫里森深刻揭示了美国走向社会大分裂的种种迹象,并对消弭社会裂痕、建立情感共同体发出前瞻性思考。
God Help the Child is the last fiction of Toni Morrison,the American Nobel Prize winner,but it’s her first work that focuses on the contemporary era and American middle-class black woman trapped by one of the ugly feelings—"animatedness",which reflects the real circumstances of such groups as black people,women and the white working class and mirrors social problems in America in multiple dimensions as well.As the affective response to the state of"the other"under the oppression of racism,sexism and consumerism,"animatedness"projects the state of being and affect of black people under the power function and ideological control in America,and carves out the way for the oppressors to acquire the objectified agency and get out of the difficulty.Besides,Morrison deeply reveals the signs that indicate the trend towards big social divisions in the U.S.,and takes forward-looking thought into the healing of the divisions and the construction of an affective community.
