摘要
关于荀子人性论的定位,传统的"性恶论"并不准确,而应代之以"性危心知论"。分析《荀子》一书的文本不难发现,他所谓"性"是强调有导致恶的倾向,但本身并不先在是恶。荀子用"性恶"之名规定"性危"之实,是站在普通民众的立场上,出于方便理解和操作的考虑,但这种说法包含着许多理论漏洞。"心知说"与"性危论"相互补充,共同构成荀子人性论的完整义涵。"知"作为"心"所具有的功能,在遏制"性"由"危"沦为"恶"的过程中发挥了重要作用。通过"解蔽"和"学礼",可以保证"心知"功能的正确发挥,从而知道、达道,归于善。"性危心知论"将人性论与认识论相结合,体现出荀子思想内在严整一贯的体系。
The more accurate positioning of Xunzi’s theory of human nature is not the traditional"doctrine of original evil of human nature",but the"Xing wei"(doctrine of inclining danger of human nature).Xunzi defines the reality of"danger of human nature"in the name of"evil of human nature".The purpose is to facilitate the understanding and operation of ordinary people,which reflects his mission and responsibility of Confucianism based on practice.Associated with the"Xing wei"is the"Xin zhi"(the cognitive ability of the mind),which complement each other and form the complete meaning of Xunzi’s theory of human nature.The cognitive ability of the mind has set an important intermediate checkpoint to curb"human nature"from"danger"to"evil",making human intervention possible.Through the process of"Jie bi"(uncovering)and"study of etiquette",so as to ensuring that the cognitive ability of the mind is correctly played,then knowing Tao,reaching Tao,achieving goodness."Xing wei xin zhi"(doctrine of inclining danger of human nature and the cognitive ability of the mind)combines Xunzi’s theory of human nature with epistemology,which is more in line with the original intention of Xunzi’s theory of human nature.
