摘要
本研究对某研究型大学优秀学术英语教师的教学实践进行了活动系统分析。研究通过访谈、课堂观察、问卷和文本资料等数据的收集和分析,描述了该教师本科生学术英语听说课活动系统的主体、客体、中介工具、共同体及结果,并讨论了学术英语教学较之传统大学英语在课程设计、教学法及教师素养等方面的差异,旨在为相关教学及教师发展提供参考。
Based on an activity system analysis,this study seeks to analyze and describe the teaching practice of an expert EAP teacher at a research university in China.Access to the teacher’s teaching practice was gained through interviews,classroom observations,questionnaires and course documents.This study describes the activity system of this teacher’s EAP listening and speaking course in terms of its subject,object,mediating tools,community,and outcome.It further highlights salient aspects where EAP and traditional college English may differ,with an intention of offering implications for EAP teaching and teacher development in similar contexts.
