摘要
阅读史也是一部性别史。文章通过爬梳文献,分析魏晋南北朝时期女性读者的阅读内容及其特征,发现她们广泛阅读儒家经典、史传、诸子、文学、宗教等书籍,阅读内容呈多元化特征。从魏晋南北朝时期纸本变迁、民族融合、门阀世族、读物选择等方面分析影响当时女性阅读的因素。探索该时期女性阅读的功用,她们在修德习行、教育后代、讲学授课、获得功名、著述诗文等方面做出了杰出贡献。反思中国一些具有审美意义的社会性别观念,主张既要对西方女性阅读理论重新认识和反思,更要从文化自觉和文明互鉴的诠释取向出发,在我国优秀传统文化中找寻适宜的理论根源和思想智慧。
The history of reading is also a history of gender.By reviewing related literature,the authors analyze the reading contents and characteristics of female readers during the Wei,Jin,Southern and Northern Dynasties.It is found that women widely read Confucian classics and books on history,philosophy,literature,religion,etc.The reading contents are diversified.Then,the social factors affecting female reading are analyzed from technological advancement of paper production,ethnic integration,environment of eminent families and women’s reading choices during that period.Furthermore,the authors analyze the practical functions of female reading and conclude that women made important contributions to the cultivation of morality,education of future generations,poetry composition,teaching and learning.They attained high positions and prestige in society.Finally,the authors make reflections on Chinese gender concepts in terms of their aesthetic significance.They advocate further reflection and re-evaluation of Western women’s reading theories.By comparing the unique Chinese culture with other cultures,female reading will benefit from the fine cultural tradition and wisdom of China.
