摘要
高校"双一流"建设对学生在专业领域的国际交往能力提出了更高要求。学术英语教学作为帮助学生用英语从事专业学习和研究的语言教学,在高校公共英语教学改革中日益受到重视。但目前学术英语教学在全国高校的发展还不平衡,面临教学体系重组、教师转型难、学生选课人数少等实际问题。本文对同济大学6年来的学术英语教学改革实践进行梳理与分析后发现,建立动态的、系统的课程教学与管理机制,包括以专业需求为驱动的课程定位、"模块对接—核心贯通"的课程体系、以语言为重心的教学目标、以产出为导向的教学流程、以能力为核心的测评方式,以及以团队协作为机制的教师培养,是保证学术英语教学改革顺利实施的关键要素。
Universities that aim to achieve the"Double First-Class"goals have higher requirements on students’international communicative competence in their respective disciplines.As a means to develop students’abilities to participate in international academic communication,EAP courses are gaining more attention in college English teaching reform.However,the development of EAP courses in Chinese universities is facing problems like the restructuring of the curriculum,teachers’difficulties in teaching paradigm transfer,and the lack of interest of students in the courses.This study,based on six years’experiment and exploration of EAP teaching reform in Tongji University,proposes a dynamic and systemic course teaching and management mechanism,including a disciplinary-need-driven course design,an EAP-centered curriculum,language-focused teaching objectives,production-oriented teaching procedure,competence-oriented assessment,and team-based teacher development.
