摘要
[目的/意义]探索机器翻译在图书馆信息咨询服务中的应用,特别是实现批量和重复性翻译工作的自动化或自助式,以提高信息咨询服务的效能。[方法/过程]自编R语言函数调用有道智云API,自动翻译文献的题名、摘要以及国家、机构、研究前沿等信息,随机生成评测卷,采用人工测评方法,对翻译结果测评打分。[结果/结论]用R语言能够方便地调用有道智云API,解决文献计量分析等信息咨询服务工作中的翻译需求。结果表明,该方法对专有名词的翻译表现最好,对句子、段落的翻译表现较好,对缩写词汇、新生词汇以及结构过于复杂句子的翻译欠佳。有道智云API翻译功能可以嵌入到用R语言编写的文献计量分析软件当中,提高信息咨询服务能力和水平。
[Purpose/significance] This paper aims to explore the application of machine translation in library information consulting service, especially to realize automatic or self-service batch and repetitive translation work, so as to improve the efficiency of information consulting service.[Method/process] Self-compiled R language function calls YouDao AIcloud API, which translates the titles, abstracts of the literature as well as other information like countries, institutions and research frontiers automatically, and randomly generates evaluation papers. The translation results are evaluated and graded by manual evaluation method.[Result/conclusion] R language can easily call the YouDao AIcloud API to solve the translation needs in bibliometric analysis, for example, and in other information consulting services. It shows that this method performs best in translating proper nouns, sentences and paragraphs come the second, and with a poor performance in the translation of abbreviations, new words and overly complicated sentences. The function of YouDao AIcloud API can be embedded in the bibliometric analysis software written in R language to improve the ability and level of information consulting services.
