摘要
《星期六》是当代英国著名作家伊恩·麦克尤恩的代表作。小说以"9·11"事件、伊拉克战争等国际事件为背景,讲述一位神经外科医生贝罗安在星期六这一天的经历。本论文试图从创伤理论视角解读小说中的个体创伤与集体创伤,并分析创伤的治愈途径,认为作者在书写创伤的同时也积极地为现代社会人类所面临的困境提供解决之道:在自省的基础上寻求救赎、治愈创伤。小说也进一步揭示了作者对历史的关怀以及对创伤主题的深层思考。
Saturday is a masterpiece of the contemporary British writer Ian McEwan.The novel records the protagonist’s life on Saturday.Based on traumatic theory,this paper analyzes the individual trauma,collective trauma and the recovery from trauma.While writing the trauma,the author also positively provides solutions to the dilemma facing modern humanity:seeking redemption and healing wounds after examining one’s own mistakes.The novel also reveals Mc Ewan’s concern over history and deep thoughts on the topic of trauma.
