摘要
选取2010—2016年沪深A股上市公司为样本,研究了女性董事和企业研发投入之间的关系。研究发现,女性董事显著地减少了企业的研发投入。在控制了内生性问题后,结论依然成立。发现支持了心理学、社会学和行为经济学的理论,即女性更加谨慎和保守,厌恶风险。从研发投入角度,为董事会结构安排的经济后果提供了一定的证据支持,丰富和扩展了相关领域的研究。
We used the A share listed companies of Shanghai Stock Exchange and Shenzhen Stock Exchange from 2010-2016 as samples to study the relationship between women directors and R&D investment. The study found that female directors significantly suppressed the R&D investment of enterprises. After controlling the problem of endogeneity, our conclusion is still true. The findings support the theory of psychology, sociology and behavioral economies, that is, women are more cautious and risk averse. From the perspeetive of R&D investment, the study provides some evidence support for the economic consequences of the structural arrangement of the board of directors, enriching and expanding the research in related fields.
