摘要
随着女性高管队伍的逐步壮大,其影响力已全面渗透到公司治理的各层面,本文以2009~2016年我国A股上市公司为样本,实证检验了女性高管对企业社会责任履行的影响。研究显示:女性高管占比对企业社会责任的履行有显著的负向影响,其重要的作用机制是女性高管通过抑制公司违规行为而降低企业履行社会责任的积极性。当企业违规被公告造成公司声誉损失时,挽回公司形象是企业履行社会责任的重要动机,实证结果显示企业违规被公告将导致企业社会责任履行水平提升2.5%左右;但女性高管对声誉资本的高度重视直接抑制了企业违规行为,最终导致女性高管占比越高,企业履行社会责任的水平越低,且女性高管占比对企业慈善捐赠的抑制作用更加明显。要合理发挥女性高管对企业承担社会责任的作用,需要为女性提供更加公平的竞争平台,以利用其性格特质更积极地投身公益事业,激发企业回馈社会的主动意识。
With the growing ratio of female executives,their influence has deeply infiltrated in almost every level of corporation management.Based on the data of China’s A-stock listed companies from 2009 to 2016,this paper focus on the relationship between the female executives and the effectiveness of the corporation social responsibility.The empirical research shows that the ratio of female executive has significantly negative effect on the performance of the corporation social responsibility.One of the most important mechanisms is that,by reducing the probability of the violations being declared,the female executives could bring down the enthusiasm of the corporations to carry on their social responsibility.Because when the violations has been declared,the corporation would suffer the reputation loss,while social responsibility brings perfect opportunities to redeem the corporation image,and the empirical test shows that the declare of the violations will increase the social responsibility level up to 2.5%.Whereas female executives pay too much attention to their reputation capital to reduce the happens of the violations,with the result that the higher the ratio of female executives,the lower the level of corporation social responsibility performance.Moreover,female executives ratio shows much significant negative effect on corporation social responsibility when using charitable donation measures the responsibility level.For the sake of female executives playing the leading role in improving the public benefit,corporations should provide more fair competition platforms for females to enhance their passions to realize corporation social responsibility.
