摘要
复合词的生成机制从来都是生成语法学者关注的焦点。国外的相关研究经过多年的积累已取得丰硕的成果,主要观点表现为两大阵营之间的对立:构词词库论和构词句法说。词库论主张语法系统中既有专门构词的形态模块,也有负责造句的句法模块,复合词在形态模块中构建。句法说赞成单引擎假设,认为句法是语法体系中唯一具有生成性的模块,构词和造句都由句法操作完成。我们相信构词句法说的观点能够为汉语复合词研究提供新的视角,推动汉语复合词生成机制的研究。
Where and how compounds are born has long been a hot topic for generative grammarians. In the past 50 years,scholars overseas have made great achievements on the mechanism of compounding,which are mainly manifested by the divergence between the camps of the lexical approach and the syntactic approach. The lexical approach claims that there are two generative modules in UG,responsible for word formation and sentence construction respectively. The syntactic approach holds the Single Engine Hypothesis,proposing that syntax is the only generative component in the grammar system in which both word and sentence structures are built. We believe that the syntactic approach will provide a new perspective for the study of Chinese compounds,and help clarify the mechanism of compounding.
