Objective To explore the epidemic status and infection situation of Norovirus(NV) in bivalve mollusks in Jiang su provinee; to provide basle information for foodborne diseases prevention and food safety risk assessment. Methods A total of 657 shellfish seafood samples were collected in the circulation and culture links from six cities ineluding Wuxi, Jiangyin, Nanjing, Qidong, Rudong, Dongtai in Jiangsu province from Jul 2015 and Jun 2016, RT-PCR was used to detect NV infection. Results A total of 657 samples eollected in the survey, the NV positive rate of above surveyed samples was 15.22%. GII type was the main type (13.39%), followed by GI (6.85%) and GI+GII dural infection(5.02%); the infection rates of different subtypes were statistically significant (χ^2= 11. 389, P〈0.05); the infection rates of different bivalves were statistieally significant (χ^2= 67. 677,P〈0. 05),the highest NV infection rate was found among oyster samples (24. 83 %). The infeetion rates of samples from different cities were statistically significant (X2 = 21.67, P〈0.05), the highest NV infeetion rate was found among samples eolleeted in Dongtai (23.64%). The NV infection rates of bivalves in 4 seasons were statistieally significant (2: 9. 518,P〈0. 05), the highest infection rate was found among samples eollected in the first quarter of 2016 (18. 16%). Conclusion Oysters were high risk food for NV infection. The NV infection rate of bivalves sold in eoastal cities was relatively high, with seasonal fluctuation.
