摘要
博物馆的外宣翻译目的在于向外国游客介绍和传播中华民族悠久历史和灿烂文化。由于我国缺乏从事文博翻译的专业人员,博物馆的外宣翻译存在不少失误,在一定程度上影响了文物信息的传递和中外跨文化交流。在翻译目的论视域下,文章以信阳博物馆的公示语、城市文化和古代文物介绍三方面的外宣翻译为例,指出博物馆外宣翻译常见的失误,并提出一些改进措施,以便更好地促进我国文化的国际交流与推广。
The aim of publicity translation of museum is to introduce and spread Chinese long history and splendid culture to foreign tourists. However, due to the lack of professional training and skilled team engaged in such translation in China, there are quite a few errors in publicity translation of museum, which, to some degree, influence information transfer and cross-cultural communication. Un-der the guidance of Skopos theory, this paper, starting from a case study taken from the publicity translation of Xinyang Museum, tries to analyze its translation errors and provide some countermeasures in order to better promote international communication and populari-zation of Chinese history and culture.
