摘要
目的:探讨回归医学人文教育本性的英语教学方式及效果。方法:选取新疆某医科大学临床医学本科生随机分为实验班和对照班;对实验班实施2学年大学英语"人文教育",对照班按传统模式教学,比较两个班人文素养能力、自主学习能力以及英语四级考试成绩的差异。结果:实验班人文素养能力如科学人生观、人文关怀能力、自主学习能力和英语四级通过率及高分段人数均明显高于对照班(P<0.05)。结论:回归医学人文教育本性的英语教学方式可以提升医学生英语成绩和综合能力。
Objective: To investigate English teaching methods and effects on returning to the nature of medical humanities education. Methods: The undergraduates majoring in clinical medicine in a medical university in Xinjiang were selected, then an experimental class and a contrast class were classified at random. Two years of humanistic college English teaching on the basis of traditional teaching was implemented in the exper- imental class, while the traditional teaching was implemented in the contrast class. The differences in the performance of humanistic qualities, independent study ability and College English Test Band 4 between the students of the two classes were compared. Results: The humanistic qualities, including scientific outlook on life, humanistic care ability, the independent study ability, the pass rate of College English Test Band 4, the number of students who scored high in this test and its percentage in the experimental class of the experimental class were apparently superior to those of the contrast class (P〈0.05). Conclusion: English teaching methods of returning to the nature of medical humanities education paved a way for improving English performance and comprehensive abilities of medical students.
