Gardenia yellow pigment is widely used in food,medicine,daily necessities,feed and dye industry.Gardenos/de can promote the secretion of bile ,analgesic and anti-inflammatory activity ,anti-tumor activity, anti thrombosis ,the role of cardiovascular system and other pharmacological effects ,but also can be used as a pigment intermediate. Gardenia blue pigment is commonly used natural blue pigment,the Gardenia blue pigment can be further development of a variety of food and drug of natural colorants.The exploitation and utilization value of Gardenia yellow pigment, Gardenia glycosides and Gardenia blue pigment were summarized, so as to provide reference.
