摘要
《班马异同》是南宋倪思所撰,宋末元初刘辰翁评语与之合刻,题为《班马异同评》。此书有明嘉靖十六年李元阳刻本和明万历韩敬序刻本两种版本系统。《班马异同评》通过比较《史记》《汉书》两书对应的篇目,考其字句异同,以观二书得失,从而创造出一种新兴的史书研究体例与模式。刘辰翁的点评有三个倾向:一是十分注重文学特征,尤其注重字词的评析;二是关注《史记》《汉书》二书的句法、文法等写作特点;三是能够运用评价小说的方法来点评历史人物。
A Review on Differences and Similarities Between Sima Qian and Ban Gu was a joint block edition of what was written by Ni Si in the South Song Dynasty and annotated by Liu Chenwong at the turn from the South Song to the Yuan Dynasty, hence the stated title of the work. This work now boasts two existing editions, i. e. , the block print by Li Yuanyang in the 16th year of the imperial title of Jiajing, and that by Han Jingxu in the imperial title of Wanli. By comparing lexical and syntactic differences between the corresponding chapters of The Records of the Historian and The History of the Han Dynasty, A Review on Differences and Similarities between Sima Qian and Ban Gu explored gains and losses of the two works, thus establishing a new stylistic layout and mode of historical work research. Liu Chenwong＇ s comments presented three distinctions ： emphasizing literary features, especially lexical analysis; noticing the grammatical and syntactic characteristics of the two works, and finally introducing literary critical devices to comments of historical figures.
