摘要
近年来,随着大学英语教学改革的发展,大学英语教学由通用英语向学术英语转型,使得"学术英语"成为中国大学英语教学语境下的高频词。上海26所不同层次的高校在非英语专业新生中开展了学术英语试点教学,其他院校也在改革筹备之中。但是各高校依然面临着究竟应该如何定义大学英语教学语境下的学术英语教学、如何进行学术英语课程设计进而有效地开展学术英语教学的问题。本文将从如何界定当今转型期的学术英语教学出发,以上海部分高校的改革经验为例阐释课程设计,以期对当今中国大学英语教学语境下的学术英语课程设置有所启发。
Recently, with the development of college English teaching reform, college English teaching is in the period of transition from English for General Purposes （EGP） to English for Academic Purposes （ EAP）, and EAP has become a high-frequency word in the context of college English teaching in China. 26 universities of different levels in Shanghai have been engaged in the pilot teaching of English for Academic Purposes to freshmen of non-English majors, and the other universities are in the reform preparation. But there are still some questions such as how the teaching of EAP should be defined in the context of college English teaching, how the curriculum of EAP should be designed. In this paper, how to define the teaching of EAP in the pedod of transition is discussed. Then the reform of curriculum design in several universities in Shanghai is reported. It is hoped that this study will shed some new light on EAP teaching in China.
