摘要
语句省略是人类语言中普遍存在的一种现象,它是人们在言语交际过程中自觉遵守省力原则的体现。本文在动态句法学的理论框架下,采取从左至右的动态解析视角,对汉语中的一些省略结构进行了形式化分析,指出:1)语句省略是句子结构、语义内容与语用环境之间相互作用的结果,是语义-语用接口研究的一个典型例证;2)动态句法学将语义内容和语用环境的表征结构化,使我们对人类语言的省略机制有了更为深入的认识。
As a pervasive phenomenon in human languages,ellipsis is often regarded as the manifestation of language users ' observation of the Principle of Economy in verbal communication.Within the framework of Dynamic Syntax which defines both representations of content and context dynamically and structurally(Kempson et al.2001; Cann et al.2005),this paper attempts to provide a formal characterization of three typical types of elliptical constructions,namely,null object construction,gapping construction and shi-support construction.It is found that these constructions emerge as a result of the interaction between semantic,structural and pragmatic information,and can be adequately accounted for only by exploring the semantics-pragmatics interface.
