摘要
以Prince等人对模糊限制语的分类为分析框架,对电影《归来》中英文字幕中模糊限制语的使用情况进行研究,试图总结出英汉两种语言的字幕中模糊限制语的异同并探究造成这些异同的原因。旨在为模糊限制语的研究提供一个较新颖的视角,并对外语学习者理解英汉模糊限制语的异同及正确运用具有一定的指导意义。
With the classification of hedges put forward by Prince, et al. as the framework for analyzing, this study examined similarities and differences of the hedges in Chinese and English subtitles of Coming Home and figured out some potential explanations underlying these differences. Thus, this study tried to provide an original perspective of studying hedges and may be enlightening for English learners in understanding similarities and differences of Chinese and English hedges and using them appropriately.
