摘要
在英语口语教学中使用paraphrase教学,能培养学生在交流时用简单易懂的语言去解释他们认为较难的、甚至无法直接表达的英语思维习惯,逐渐形成灵活多样化的英文思维,从而提高他们的英语口语交际能力。
Teaching by asking college students to paraphrase the ideas in the book in spoken Eng- lish class can cultivate and develop their English thinking habit. They can paraphrase in some simple English immediately when some words or expressions in English are too difficult to come to their mind or they cannot find the exact English equivalent to a Chinese word. Gradually, they will have a flexible English mind so that their spoken English ability could be improved.
