走向多元融合的研究范式--中外应用语言学与外语教学期刊的载文分析 被引量:24

Toward a multi-method integrated research paradigm: Analysis of papers in applied linguistics and foreign language teaching journals at home and abroad

摘要 本研究基于10种中外应用语言学与外语教学期刊2013年所有载文,横向比较分析论文不同研究方法的使用状况及新近趋势。研究结果显示:(1)国内中文期刊思辨研究总体多于实证研究,且实证研究以量化研究为主,而国外英文期刊中量化、质性与混合研究均占一定比例;(2)国内和国外期刊的实证与非实证研究比重存在显著性差异,前者实证研究的比重明显低于后者;(3)多元融合实践取向的研究范式成为国际应用语言学与外语教学研究的发展趋势,这对重塑与完善我国现存研究范式具有重要启示意义。 Based on all the papers published in 10 applied linguistics and foreign language teaching journals at home and abroad in 2013, this study examines the application of different research methods and its latest trend through cross-sectional comparison and content analysis. The results are as follows : ( 1 ) the total number of speculative research papers is far more than that of empirical ones in the Chinese journals, and quantitative research accounts for a considerable percentage, while in the foreign journals, quantitative, qualitative and mixed methods research is distributed in certain proportions; (2) there is significant differenee in the percentage of empirical and non-empirical research between the Chinese and foreign journals, as the percentage of empirical research in the Chinese journals is much lower than that in the foreign journals; (3) the international research fields of applied linguistics and foreign language teaching set the trend of adopting a multi-method integrated and practice-oriented research paradigm, which is conducive to reshaping and improving the current research paradigm in China.
